These are the IT projects NJ businesses ask us to handle most often. If yours isn’t listed, we can likely help — just ask.

Office Moves & Build-Outs
Full IT relocation including cabling, rack installation, network deployment, phone systems, and workstation setup. We coordinate with your contractors and landlord so IT is ready on day one.
Cloud Migrations
Moving from on-premise Exchange to Microsoft 365, migrating file servers to SharePoint, or shifting applications to Azure. Zero data loss, minimal downtime, and full user training included.
💻
Server Refreshes & Upgrades
End-of-life server replacement, OS upgrades, storage expansion, and virtualization. We handle procurement, configuration, data migration, and testing — then document everything for your records.
📶

Business phone system deployment or migration — Teams calling, VoIP platforms, or hybrid setups. Number porting, auto-attendant configuration, and user training all handled.
📋
Compliance Readiness Projects
Targeted projects to close specific compliance gaps — HIPAA risk assessments, CMMC preparation, FINRA documentation packages. Scoped to your exact needs with fixed pricing.
🔄
Technology Standardization
Bringing inconsistent hardware, software, and configurations into alignment. Standard OS images, consistent security policies, unified management tools — the foundation for reliable IT.
Why Iron Core
IT Projects Fail for
Predictable Reasons.

We’ve fixed enough botched projects to know what goes wrong. Here’s what we do differently.

💰
Fixed-Price Scoping
Every project gets a detailed scope of work with fixed pricing before we start. You know exactly what you’re getting, what it costs, and when it’ll be done. No time-and-materials surprises.
📋
Full Documentation
Every project we complete includes detailed documentation — network diagrams, configuration records, credentials, and procedures. Your next IT person (or your auditor) will know exactly what was done and how.
👥
Minimal Disruption
We schedule deployments, migrations, and cutovers around your business hours. Most of our project work happens evenings and weekends so your team isn’t sitting idle waiting for IT to finish.
How It Works
From Scope
to Completion.

Every project follows the same structured process — regardless of size.

01
Discovery & Scoping
We assess your current environment, define the project objectives, identify risks, and deliver a detailed scope of work with fixed pricing and a clear timeline.
02
Planning & Procurement
We order equipment, schedule work windows, coordinate with vendors and contractors, and prepare migration or deployment checklists. Nothing starts until the plan is approved.
03
Execution & Testing
We deploy, configure, migrate, and test — following the approved plan step by step. Every milestone is verified before moving to the next. Your team is kept informed throughout.
04
Handoff & Documentation
Project complete. You receive full documentation, updated network diagrams, configuration records, and a walkthrough. If you’re a managed client, we transition the new systems into ongoing monitoring immediately.
Frequently Asked Questions
IT Project Questions,
Answered.
Do we need to be a managed IT client to hire you for a project?
No. We take on standalone projects for businesses that aren’t managed clients. That said, many project clients become managed clients afterward because they see the value of having the same team that built the environment also maintain it. Either way, we’re happy to help.
How do you price projects?
Fixed price, scoped upfront. We assess your environment, define the scope of work, and give you a flat-rate quote before any work begins. If the scope changes during the project, we discuss it with you and get approval before adjusting anything. No surprise invoices.
Can you work after hours to avoid disrupting our team?
Yes — most of our project work is scheduled evenings and weekends specifically to minimize impact on your business operations. Migrations, cutovers, and deployments are planned around your schedule, not ours.
We’re moving offices in 3 months — when should we engage you?
Now. Office moves require coordination with your landlord, contractors, ISP, and phone provider — all of which have lead times. The earlier we’re involved, the smoother the move. We typically recommend engaging 8 to 12 weeks before your target move date.
Another IT company started a project and didn’t finish it. Can you take over?
We do this more often than you’d think. We’ll assess what was done, identify what’s left, and scope the remaining work as a new project. We won’t charge you to redo work that was done correctly — only to complete what’s missing and fix what wasn’t done right.
Do you handle hardware procurement?
Yes. We source servers, workstations, networking equipment, and peripherals at competitive pricing. Every recommendation is based on your needs and budget — we don’t push specific vendors for margin. All equipment is configured, tested, and documented before deployment.
